End eye for gas spring, with thread M8 female. Solid machined body with hole of Ø8,1 mm chamfered at the mouth, 12 mm thick and 16 mm from the hole centre to the abutment face. It fits at both ends of the gas spring, with the same part on each side. White passivated zinc-plated finish.

- Closed eye with solid body, confirmed in two detail sections of the turned drawing BSTD1022-800-260, read in a crop at 1200 dpi. The thread M8 is BLIND FEMALE, with a closed bottom and drill cone — the end fitting screws onto the male stub of the spring.

THE THREAD DECIDES COMPATIBILITY: this end fitting is M8 female and only fits springs with an M8 male thread — the universal ones in L2, in gauges 8/18, 10/22 and 14/27-28. Forcing it onto the wrong thread ruins the spring's stud, which is the expensive part.
