Gas spring for toolbox lid, with 100 N of force. Overall length of 318 mm, stroke of 120 mm, rod of Ø6 mm black-nitrided and tube of Ø15 mm painted black, with nitrogen filling. The two ends are different and the part is not is reversible: clevis with hole Ø5 on the rod and ball joint Ø10, with stud M8, on the tube.

FIT WITH THE ROD DOWNWARDS — stated expressly by Tornado on the drawing («must be mounted with piston rod down»). That is what keeps the seal lubricated; fitted the other way up it loses force and fails early.
